Rearfoot ASICS GEL cushioning system

The GEL cushioning system, in conjunction with the midsole material, absorbs impact forces. This cushioning system also has grooves in the rear foot which help to stabilise the foot during the first phase of the Impact Guidance System, i.e. heel contact. The ASICS GEL has been positioned in such a way that it provides cushioning in all directions.
